Our Mandate
- To provide sailing opportunities for people with disabilities.
- To facilitate the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
- To promote the ongoing development of sailor’s skills.
- To promote the integration of disabled sailors into the greater sailing community. activities.
- To enable high level quadriplegics to sail independently.
In 1994, The Disabled Sailing Association of Alberta now Able Sail Association of Alberta was formed with the with the goal of establishing permanent sailing programs for children and adults with disabilities in Alberta. Now, after many seasons of successful operations, thousands of Alberta have enjoyed the therapeutic and rehabilitative benefits of sailing.

Our Fleet
We have a dozen custom modified boats that allow people with all levels of physical ability to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of sailing. Learn more about the Sonar, the Martin 16, and the Access Dinghy!
